Make a Wish

Every year for the past several years the Company I work for has been a proud sponsor of the Texas Classic Make a Wish car show, in North Austin. Rudy's, Carabbas and Outback steak house is covered with Numerous cars that are all from the 50's - current cars. Including one of my best friends enters her 1966 Pontiac Lemans. SUCH A PRETTY CAR. Below is me in her ride.......
I never really understood the concept of Make a Wish till my cousin was granted several wishes. His first was a Pool table and his second was a set of Nike golf clubs. When I started helping out with this car show, it amazes me that every year a child is granted a wish and is talked about normally has to do with a 16year old wanting a custom car ... it really brings tears to my eyes to watch parents stand strong next to their child and explain his/her diesese. I volunteer my time to spend a day out of it and it just helps me feel like I am paying back to everyone that I know who has children that has ever been blessed to get a wish granted from this awesome group of people. A few months ago one of my little buddy's Ty had his wish granted, his first wish in the beginning was to meet President Obama.... I was sadden to hear that he was too busy to meet with Ty. Needless to say he was granted a wish to travel to Hawaii with his family and visit several cooler places. (Atleast that is my opinion)! Hearing him tell about his trip to Hawaii was so cute and entertaining. Well on that note here are a few pictures from the day!
