30th Birthday!!!

So I know it has been over a week but my 30th birthday was probably one of the best birthday's ever. I don't have pictures at the moment on my computer at work of the actually night of my birthday. For over three weeks my amazing friends and sister in law were planning "30th birthday pump hunt." I was advised by my friend Brenden to not make plans for my actual birthday. So I was super excited that he had planned something... needless to say he was told by the girls to cover for them. It led up till the day of and still at 2 I knew absolutley nothing. He came to my work and surprised me with 30 roses (pink, yellow and white) BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS!!! I was so happy... still in suspense as to what was going on. Around 4:30 Shell, Alisha, Britney and Lindsey (i work with her so she was already here) Came up to my office door with a black box with a tiara, 30th Birthday glass and a shirt reading this....

as many of you know what a Cougar is this is I guess the step before that stage a PUMA! haha So I wore this all night and they took me downtown to dinner at 219 west! I love this place... nice weather to sit outside and just enjoy good company and friends. Shell also made me a "dirty 30 dirt cake." My friend Amy who is one of my long time friends also suprised me at dinner also. After dinner we went to the Beauty bar... lets just say cute place but very interesting. I will have to post more pics later. Martini's and manicure for $10. It was fun to say the least though no matter how much people watching we did. When I arrived home my friend Shell and I were about to crash. I changed clothes and went to my bathroom only to find a TON of ballons blown up and in my bathroom. TOTAL SURPRISE once again. Thank you so much for all you girls did it meant so much to me!

Friday my plans all along were to go to dinner at the Texican with about 23 of my close friends and down to the Stardust to listen to one of my favorite bands Sam Bentley play. I LOVE Sam he is the sweetest ever!!! :-) Here are a few pics from that night....

Make a Wish

Every year for the past several years the Company I work for has been a proud sponsor of the Texas Classic Make a Wish car show, in North Austin. Rudy's, Carabbas and Outback steak house is covered with Numerous cars that are all from the 50's - current cars. Including one of my best friends enters her 1966 Pontiac Lemans. SUCH A PRETTY CAR. Below is me in her ride.......
I never really understood the concept of Make a Wish till my cousin was granted several wishes. His first was a Pool table and his second was a set of Nike golf clubs. When I started helping out with this car show, it amazes me that every year a child is granted a wish and is talked about normally has to do with a 16year old wanting a custom car ... it really brings tears to my eyes to watch parents stand strong next to their child and explain his/her diesese. I volunteer my time to spend a day out of it and it just helps me feel like I am paying back to everyone that I know who has children that has ever been blessed to get a wish granted from this awesome group of people. A few months ago one of my little buddy's Ty had his wish granted, his first wish in the beginning was to meet President Obama.... I was sadden to hear that he was too busy to meet with Ty. Needless to say he was granted a wish to travel to Hawaii with his family and visit several cooler places. (Atleast that is my opinion)! Hearing him tell about his trip to Hawaii was so cute and entertaining. Well on that note here are a few pictures from the day!
Me getting in a 2500 hp Drag boat while they started it up... so awesome!!!!

It's 2010 and my first blog of the year

Why have I been slacking... honestly I don't know. Just plum tired, I have never been a blogger and don't have time.... I KNOW I KNOW... we are all busy. I honestly just here lately have been getting on and checking on everyone else. Today I decided I am going to try and blog more than once a month. YEA YEA... probably not going to happen. I mostly enjoy reading Jenn's blog.... she CRACKS ME UP! Take it she is married to my some how down the line relative Kenny. We only see each other once a year at the Rodeo's annual bulletproof and it normally is only for a few minutes. I still love you Jenn you are a hoot!

So here is 2010 in review... what have we done... really NOTHING!!! Surprise Surprise. The most I have done is going to the rodeo. We went and saw some good performers... NEAL MCCOY being one of my favorites... he is an awesome performer and loves to walk around in the dirt. Hardly ever stays on the round stage. AWESOME AWESOME show!
Well now it's already April and time for Easter this weekend. We will have a busy weekend with running to LaGrange to see everyone there, also Angie even flew in for the week. Wharington is having their annual Antique fair so always a fun crowd to hang out with that night at Third Base. Then we will try and hit Grandma Dolores's for lunch then depending on how tired we are try and hit the country (My dad's side) and hopefully my other grandma's... as of right now I see this to be a rush rush weekend and I will want to fall in bed by the time I get home Sunday.
As for Easter this is a time that I remember my grandpa most. Knowing Easter was always a fun time being around him. Someone who HATED I mean HATED confetti eggs because they were always a mess to clean up. It is now a tradition to crack a confetti egg on my papaw's grave. I know it sounds cheesy but it is a memory I will always have. I love you papaw and miss you TONS!!!
Hope every one has a blessed Easter and time with all of your family. Remember what Easter is all about ... Jesus has risen!
